Meet Dr. David King (China Grove, NC)

David L. King, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University's College of Optometry and opened his private practice in China Grove, North Carolina, in 1987. For more than 30 years, he has proudly served patients in China Grove and the surrounding communities, providing high-quality, compassionate eye care.

Dr. King is actively involved in his profession and community. He served as a Clinical Examiner for the North Carolina State Board of Examiners in Optometry for over 20 years. His leadership roles have included serving on the Board of Directors for Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and as Chairman of the Rowan County Board of Health. In 2013, Dr. King was honored with the John D. Robinson Clinical Excellence Award by the North Carolina Optometric Society.

Committed to giving back, Dr. King has participated in multiple mission trips to Guatemala. Outside the office, he enjoys music as an accomplished vocalist and guitarist and is a ten-time Ironman Triathlon finisher in Panama City, Florida. He and his wife, Susan, have four children and four grandchildren, with whom they love spending time.
